Marc Anthony Performs in the Magic City

marc-anthony-tourHappy November, everyone! A new month brings a fresh set of new events and experiences to South Florida. This weekend, the iHeart Radio Fiesta Latina will descend upon the Magic City of Miami with a host of Latin music superstars performing at the American Airlines Arena. However, the Fiesta Latina won’t be the only Latin-themed event going on this month.

You may have noticed or even attended Jennifer Lopez’s recent concert at Bayfront Park where she was accompanied by her ex-husband and fellow music star Marc Anthony. For those not familiar with the Latin music superstar, he is a singer, songwriter, producer, as well as a two-time Grammy Award winner. He has also won five Latin Grammy Awards and currently holds the Guinness World Record best-selling tropical/salsa artist. Anthony has released thirteen studio albums, the most recent being 3.0 released in 2013.

If you’ve yet to see Marc Anthony in concert, the Miami resident will be performing for two nights at the American Airlines Arena on November 18th and 19th, just in time for Thanksgiving. If you’ve never seen him in concert, he’s earned a reputation for his commanding stage presence and engaging performances, so it should be a lot of fun!

There are still tickets available for both nights Marc Anthony will be performing at the AAA and Z Ocean Hotel South Beach will be open to accommodate you. Book a stay at our Miami Beach hotel and not only will you be just minutes away from the event location, you’ll be able to unwind in some comfortably upscale suites. Call 1.877.688.4232 to make a reservation at our South Beach hotel and get ready for an electrifying night!

Lauryn Hill Visits Miami Beach for the Holidays

laurynhilltourThe 90s brought us a tremendous amount of talented hip-hop, rap, and R&B acts. Arrested Development, Erykah Badu, and The Roots are some of the artists that saw success during the decade. Arguably eclipsing their success was The Fugees, a trio comprised of rappers Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel, and singer Lauryn Hill. The group scored several hits, particularly the cover of Roberta Flack’s 1971 song “Killing Me Softly”, which prominently featured Lauryn Hill’s vocals.

Shortly after the release of their second and final album The Score, Hill embarked upon a solo career, releasing her solo debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998 which went on to achieve massive success, selling nearly 20 million copies worldwide and winning five Grammy Awards.

While Hill has yet to properly follow up her debut album, the singer has continued to tour for years. If you’d like to see her in concert, she will be performing at The Fillmore on December 9th as part of the MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Concert Series featuring a multitude of artists from various parts of the African diaspora, in addition to Hill’s hits. Previous performances have included well-known songs like “Everything Is Everything” and even a few Fugees tunes, so it should be a fun experience for new and longtime fans.

The Fillmore is less than ten minutes away from Z Ocean Hotel South Beach and it’s a perfect play to stay if you’re planning on seeing Lauryn Hill in concert. Book one of the many Miami Beach hotel suites for the holidays and enjoy a supremely relaxing experience. Call 1.877.688.4232 to make a reservation at our South Beach hotel before we’re all booked!
