Coming April 23rd – The Miami Beach Polo World Cup

zocean1The “sport of kings” is coming to the shores of South Beach this April 23-26 at the Art Deco District, between 20th and 22nd Streets. The Z Ocean Miami Beach Hotel puts you in close proximity to this exciting occasion.

Considered one of the most celebrated sporting events of its kind, the Miami Beach Polo World Cup pits several world-renowned teams from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, and beyond to compete for the coveted La Martina Trophy.

Since 2005, the event has welcomed an average of over 10,000 spectators, who watch the world’s top polo players square off in two tournaments: the La Martina South Beach Women’s Polo Cup V and the La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup IX.

Distinguished players taking part in the women’s tournament include Pamela Flanagan, Cristina Hosmer, Tiffany Busch, Stephanie Kraml-Suttle and Lynn O’Connor. The top ranked players competing in the men’s tournament include the U.K.’s Jamie Morrison, Dutch great Vincent Meskey, past Miami Beach winner Guille Usandizaga, and many more.

To top it all off, each day will include nightly VIP events and festivities, with a post-event awards ceremony held at the end of each tournament to commemorate both women’s and men’s competition winners. A portion of the funds from ticket sales will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami.

The Z Ocean Hotel offers an excellent and accessible location near all the action of the Polo World Cup. Moreover, our boutique South Beach Hotel provides a range of packages, services, and amenities that ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay during the four-day event.

From the intimacy and comfort of our 79 lavish suites – some of which include rooftop terraces and hot tubs – to the scrumptious offerings of our Front Porch Café, the Z Ocean Hotel is a vacation onto itself.
