Celebrate Fourth of July With The Z Ocean Hotel

There will be a wide variety of colorful festivities and firework shows all over the city to mark America’s independence, and most will be within easy reach from our Miami Beach Hotel.

First, the City of Miami Beach will be hosting its annual Fire on the Fourth Festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at North Shore Park (73rd Street and Collins Avenue). There will be food trucks and live music prior to the fireworks at 9 p.m., which you can watch from the beach. Be sure to arrive early and bring a blanket or chair.

Downtown Miami will be presenting one of South Florida’s biggest firework displays,America’s Birthday Bash. Taking place in beautiful Bayfront Park and the adjacent Bayside Marketplace, this free event runs from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. It includes food and drink, a kid zone and petting zoo, giveaways, and live music. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and can be viewed from the park, marketplace, or aboard the SeaFair yacht.

Key Biscayne will be kicking off its 56th annual Fourth of July Parade at 11 a.m., which runs down Crandon Boulevard from Harbor Drive to West Enid. Enjoy a colorful caravan of floats, marching bands, and decorated golf carts. Following the parade is a Kiwanis Picnic on the Village Green, which ends with an offshore fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Coconut Grove will be hosting a fireworks display at 9 p.m. at the bayfront Peacock Park. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be a series of free activities for children, such as arts and crafts, balloon animals, ice cream, and more. Food and drink will be delivered from select restaurants in the area. At the same time, nearby CocoWalk will be the site of the 7th Annual Independence Day Hot Dog Eating Competition, which begins at 5:00 p.m., while Barnacle Historic State Park will have a picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($5 general admission).
