Incoming Local Events to Enjoy from Our South Beach Hotel

Z Ocean ConcertsOur last blog highlighted the numerous world-class cultural and entertainment venues that make Miami one of the liveliest travel destinations in the world. If you have any plans to visit in the coming weeks, keep in mind some of these great events and performances that will be taking place within easy access of the Miami Beach Hotel Z Ocean South Beach..

In October, the American Airlines Arena – located in Miami just off the MacArthur Causeway – will be hosting two very big live performances. First there is the top salsa artist of all time, Marc Anthony, who will be on stage Friday Oct. 3 through Saturday Oct. 4 at 8:00 pm. Then on Sunday Oct. 26, two other big Latin stars, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, will share the stage for an AEG Live Fall tour that begins at 7:30 pm.

Then there are the vast offerings of the world-famous Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. Located less than hour’s drive from our South Beach location, this adult playground has plenty great clubs, lounges, and events to enjoy.

On September 19 at 8:00 pm there is Experience Hendrix, which features some of the world’s greatest guitarists, while on September 27th at 8:00 pm is Foreigner, one of the biggest bands from the 80s. Classic rock band Chicago will be performing their hits on October 2nd at 8:00 pm, followed by other legends like Peter Frampton (Oct. 5 – 8:00 pm), Earth, Wind, And Fire (Oct. 15 – 8:00 pm), and Chicago (Oct. 2 – 8:00 pm).

If you want something closer and more intimate, there is plenty going on at the historic Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. The eclectic selection of performances includes former White Stripes front man Jack White (Sept. 21-22), Spanish pop quintet Formula V (Sept. 26), English indie singer David Gray (Sept. 30), and many more.

These are just some of the many fun and exciting events that await you in and around Miami Beach. Z Ocean Hotel is Your Launch Pad for the Next Cultural Excursion!

101263_1833_primaryWhile perhaps best known for its pristine beaches and vibrant nightlife, Miami Beach and its surrounding communities also have a rich and fast growing art scene. There are a wide variety of galleries, theaters, festivals, and other cultural attractions in close proximity to our boutique Miami Beach Hotel.

Some historic and acclaimed destinations nearby include Lincoln Road’s Colony Theatre, the celebrated Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater, and Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts (located in Downtown Miami just off the MacArthur Causeway).

Built in 2011, the New World Center is home to the New World Symphony, which is acclaimed for its orchestra concerts, chamber music, family concerts, and many free events. The adjacent Sound Scape Park is a masterful outdoor space known for its Wall Casts – free screening of concerns and movies on a 7,000-square-foot wall.

A short drive to Downtown Miami via the MacArthur Causeway will take you to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the second-largest performance center in the country. It features the world-class talents of the Miami City Ballet, the New World Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, and City Theatre; as well as numerous national and international groups, such as the Mark Morris Dance Group and the famed Cleveland Orchestra.

While on the mainland, you can venture south to Cutler Bay to visit one of the city’s newest arts venues, the $51-million South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. Designed the renowned Arquitectonica International, it includes several performance venues, an outdoor plaza for festivals and art shows, and a spacious lawn for concerts.

These are just a handful of first-rate cultural venues that are accessible from the Z Ocean South Beach Hotel. Our chic boutique destination is a vacation all on its own, with sumptuous suites overlooking the ocean, and a vast array of five-star services and amenities that cater to your every need. There is no better place from which to enjoy the best that South Florida has to offer.
