Maroon 5 Comes to the Magic City

maroon5tourHave you ever watched The Voice? If so, you’re probably familiar with Adam Levine, one of the long running judges on the singing talent show. Adam Levine has developed his own celebrity status, but he rose to fame as the frontman and lead guitarist for American pop rock band Maroon 5.

Originally going by the name of Kara’s Flowers, the band flew under the radar until they changed their name and released their debut album, the multiplatinum Songs About Jane, which spawned radio staples like “Harder to Breathe”, “She Will Be Loved”, and “This Love”. Sophomore effort It Won’t Be Soon before Long also achieved success thanks to hits like “Makes Me Wonder”, “Wake Up Call”, and “If I Never See Your Face Again”. Their latest album, V was released in 2014 and even two years after its release, songs like “Sugar” and “Animals” can still be heard on the radio.

Maroon 5 will be performing next month right here in the Magic City at the American Airlines Arena on Wednesday, September 7th. The band will be joined by Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo who is perhaps best known for her hits “Habits (Stay High)” and “Talking Body”. If you’ve seen The Voice or caught one of his appearances on a talk show, you’re already aware of Levine’s charisma and magnetic personality. The band itself has developed a reputation for its energetic performances and the upcoming concert should be no different.

If you’re planning on seeing Maroon 5 in concert, the Z Ocean Hotel South Beach provides a superb location by the sunny beaches.  We have many inviting suites in our Miami Beach hotel and a great selection of amenities to make your stay a supremely relaxing experience. Call 1.877.688.4232 to book a stay at our South Beach hotel and get ready to enjoy all of the band’s classic hits.

Miami Beach’s Rich Arts and Culture Scene

mbArtMiami Beach may have developed an “unofficial” reputation for its hedonism, but if you look a little deeper beyond its exterior of sun, drinks, and fun, you’ll notice that the barrier island has as much substance as it does style. The city is packed with plenty of cultural hotspots for anyone looking to indulge their inner artist, history buffs or those looking to enrich themselves.

At Z Ocean Hotel South Beach, we’re proud to say that our location is perfectly situated near a myriad of museums and galleries for one to explore. For example, the Wolfsonian–FIU museum is just a ten minute walk from our Miami Beach hotel. This museum, located in the Art Deco District features a pair of collections dating back to the late 1800s and mid-1900s. Best of all, the museum frequently hosts free guided tours on Fridays, so you won’t have to spend a dime to discover some fascinating pieces of history.

The Art Deco District is home to more than 900 intriguingly designed buildings, a paradise for architecture aficionados. It was designated a U.S. historic district in 1979 and features work by many notable architects such as L. Murray Dixon and Henry Hohauser. As you’re exploring the classic structures, you’ll also find notable sights like Casa Casuarina, the lavish home of late fashion designer Gianni Versace.

The Bass Museum of Art, World Erotic Art Museum and more are just minutes from our South Beach hotel. Check out all of the artwork and history, just a short distance from our hotel, where you can enjoy the comforts of your suite and our amenities like the glass bottom pool.
