American pop and rock band the Four Seasons has been performing since the 1960s and 1970s, fronted by singer Frankie Valli who has become known for his powerful falsetto voice. Originally known as the Four Lovers, the group continues to tour to this day, performing number one hits like “Sherry” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, both of them released in 1962.
In 1990, the group’s contributions to popular music were recognized when it was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it is still one of the best-selling groups of all time, having sold an estimated 100 million records around the world. Their music has also received renewed interest thanks to the huge success of the Tony-award winning musical Jersey Boys, based on the life and times of the band.
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will be bringing their signature songs to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino later this month on the 29th, a Friday. Previous attendees have complimented the setlist that includes plenty of hits from the band’s extensive musical catalog as well as Valli’s voice, which at the age of 81 remains in top form. Tickets for the event are sold out, but there are resale options available.
